Privacy
The short version: what you type stays in your browser.
What you type
Every checklist, timeline and letter is worked out in your browser. Shop names, order details, your name and address and your answers are never sent to Foxglove Goods or anyone else. Apart from loading the site's own files, the pages make no network requests; the one exception is the page-view count described below.
What is stored on your device
These items can be saved in your browser's local storage, only on the device you are using:
fg-checkandfg-shop: your shop safety checklist answers and the shop name you noted.fg-refund: the details you typed into the refund request letter.fg-delivery: the details you typed into the delivery complaint letter.foxglovegoods-theme: your light or dark theme choice, if you picked one.
The chargeback timeline and the red flags guide save nothing. "Check another shop" and "Clear my details" remove each tool's data; clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes everything. On a shared computer, do that when you are done.
The WebTraceCheck link
On the red flags page you can type a shop's address to make a link to WebTraceCheck's security headers check. The address goes into that link only, and nothing is sent until you choose to open it; WebTraceCheck then receives the address you asked it to check.
Cookies, accounts and ads
There are none. There is no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking across other sites.
Page-view counts
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which our host Cloudflare adds to each page, to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across sites, and it never receives what you type into the tools.
Links to other sites
Pages link to sources such as UK, EU and US legislation and consumer bodies, to sister sites and to two recommended services, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.
